I am Colby Dinwiddie, a 15 year old student at Buhler High School. I do several activities such as high school soccer, hutning, graphic design and animation, indoor soccer, and playing airsoft with friends! It's hard to really pick a favorite activity, but those are the ones that I enjoy the most. I've played soccer for quite a few years now as goalie and I love it!
At home, I love to play around and animate in Flash CS5 which I got for last Christmas! My parents asked me what I wanted, and I told them Flash. They said I was crazy because the program was so expensive and that would probably be my only present, and I said yes that’s exactly what I want! So no surprise, Christmas morning I wake up and go upstairs with the family and I have a few presents under the tree and I open up a box that says "Flash CS5" and I ran downstairs and begin downloading it. For a few weeks, I was doing things the hard way and I didn't really under stand the concepts of Flash. As time progressed, I taught myself everything I eventually got started sketching out some ideas. As summer came around I didn't really have anything to do so I decided to start a project... A game! I have always loved zombie survival games so I wrote down some ideas for a storyline, sketched some ideas, and began working by myself! About 4 months have passed since the initial idea and when I started doing art for my game. One of my friends is a really great AS3 coder so he is going to code the game and get it all working and hopefully we will have the whole thing finished sometime in January. It's been a lot of fun doing whatever I want and creating art and animations that I enjoy doing! I have talked with a few major online gaming companies and I am hoping to get my game sponsored and endorsed with them so I’ll be making the big bucks at age 15! I love doing what I do and it is so much fun! Who knows where I’ll end up someday! Google Images Airsoft is probably my favorite sport to play with friends. It's fun because it's realistic, not like paintball; big mess. There are endless possibilities to upgrade your airsoft gun and help your team win the game! For Christmas, about 8 friends and I are getting really nice airsoft guns so we can have wars in my friend’s forest. Some people think airsoft is kind of a little kid thing but really, it all depends on what gun you have and how you play. When you were little you probably had a 10$ little airsoft pistol that shot about 10 feet and barely hurt when it hit you. That is nothing compared to what we do! Most of our guns shoot up to 150 yards and make you bruise instantly so you know when you've been hit! Some of the cool things about airsoft is the customizable possibilities for you gun! I am getting a Colt M4 model and I plan to buy many accessories such as extended mags, a foregrip, red dot sight, grenade launcher, and tactical flashlight! Since most of our game are played at night in the woods, it's really hard to tell where your enemies are so a flashlight and red dot sight would really help! We have many types of games we're going to start playing now that we all have nice guns. The basic games are team deathmatch where its 2 even teams against each other, first team to eliminate all the players on the other team wins! And more advanced games where there is a trophy in the middle of the baseball field and the first team to capture it and return it to their fort wins! Airsoft is a lot of fun and it's definitely a tough and intense sport!
